Latinos
We define Latinos as a group of people who share an historical ethnicity, culture, language, origin, or descent from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Central or South America, or Spain, and who currently live in the United States, whether recent or first generation, or of a ā€œfamily treeā€ who have lived here two or more generations, who self-identify as Latino or Hispanic, and who are considered an integral part of our American society.
Education
We participate in the development of sound Education Policy, particularly in meeting the unique needs of our Latino community. From pre-k to higher education, Latino students are not receiving equal, nor equitable education opportunities. It is through fair & equitable policy and its advocacy that we make a difference, ensuring that the hopes and dreams of our youth and families will make our future great.
Employment
Latinos are known to be hard-working, loyal employees and small business owners. We provide great opportunities for both Latino employees and small business owners to participate in the economic development of our local and state communities. It is through both participating in and establishing great training programs and properly recruiting Latinos to participate in such programs that we create success.
Community
Latinos are known for loyalty to their families and their employers. We provide an avenue for Latinos to participate in our American system of self governance. From understanding the importance of participating in the selection of leaders, to advocating for proper government policies that affect our everyday life, to vetting and voting for candidates who can deliver to our families and Latino community, we develop a strong voice.
